John Atkinson: "An Amazing Young Man"
John Atkinson, 26, also died in the attack, Manchester Evening News confirmed. John was from Radcliffe in Greater Manchester. Friends and family are already sharing heartbreaking messages about his death. He was called a "beautiful soul" and and "amazing young man."
Lee Paul said on Facebook: "Sleep tight John Atkinson. Thoughts and prayers with all your family and the other 21 people who lost there lives last night.” Friend Talie Andrea wrote: "Heartbroken for the Atkinson family at this sad time never would I imagine this happening so close to home. Rest in paradise John you beautiful soul."
Another friend, Chris Wooff, wrote, "Your gonna be missed John Atkinson such a sad day never expected anything like this would happen so close to home. I’m here for all of you anytime. RIP xxx."
Nana Julie Mills said online: "Just heard one of my good friends whom I've known since he was a little boy passed away last night. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP John Atkinson."
John was studying health and social studies at Bury College, according to his Facebook, which has already been converted to a memorial page. Friends and family will miss him deeply.
