With ousted James Comey in the spotlight a lot more, many people have noticed that the former FBI director is extremely tall.
It’s especially glaring when you see Comey standing next to other politicians who, themselves, are pretty tall. Case in point: The above photo of Comey standing next to former President Barack Obama, who is 6 foot 1 inch tall.

Pity the poor men who have to stand next to Jim Comey. People of average height – even people who are tall – look short next to Comey.

Exactly how tall is former FBI director James Comey?
He’s 6 foot 8 inches tall, according to the Boston Globe, which also reports that he – of course – likes to play basketball.

According to AOL, height runs in the Comey family. “Comey’s son is also a basketball player. Brien Comey played basketball at Kenyon University until last season, when he graduated. He is 6’8″, just like his dad,” reports AOL.

James Comey towers over President Trump too; Trump stands 6 foot 2 inches tall. It’s believed that Comey was the tallest FBI director in U.S. history.

Comey will be thrust back into the spotlight shortly when he gives testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee in public. CNN reported that Comey plans to testify that Donald Trump allegedly pressured him to end the FBI’s investigation into whether Trump officials colluded with Russian interference into the 2016 presidential election.
Former FBI Director Robert Mueller is now leading that probe.

Comey’s extreme height has made him a more intimidating figure as a prosecutor to some, reports The Independent.
