Adam Frasch: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Tonight, Dateline will speak to Dr. Adam Frasch, who was sentenced to life in prison in January of this year for murdering his wife, Samira. To this day, Frasch maintains that he is innocent of the crime.

The couple met while Frasch was separating from his second wife. Samira’s best friend, Jackie Watson, tells Crime Watch Daily that Samira was a successful model in Paris when she met Adam. “She was on her way up. Before she became a mother Samira always wanted to have a career as a singer, and she was a good singer.”

On the surface, the couple seemed very much in love. In reality, their marriage was plagued with extramarital affairs and violence. Florida State Attorney’s Office Investigator Jason Newlin is reported as saying, “Everything I can tell, it [their relationship] was pretty violent– physical abuse, verbal abuse. Mental for sure. You know, and Adam had multiple, multiple girlfriends.”

1. Samira Was Found Dead in the Bottom of Her Pool in February 2014


On February 22, 2014, Samira’s body was found at the bottom of the pool at the couple’s home by a maintenance man. She died from blunt force trauma to the head and drowning.

That same morning, Frasch fled their home for Panama City Beach with their two daughters.

In court, Frasch’s attorney, Clyde Taylor, said that he was disappointed with the verdict and that it was based on circumstantial evidence. The Tallahassee Democrat reports him as saying, “I think the time of death is absolutely critical… She wasn’t in that pool for more than an hour. If it was less than an hour or even two hours or three hours, my client was in Panama City. He wasn’t here. He couldn’t have hit her in the face. He couldn’t have hit her with some ridiculous golf club, and he darn sure couldn’t have thrown her in the pool.”

State and medical examiners were not able to give a specific time of death.


2. Samira Was His Third Wife and Was in the Process of Divorcing Him

Samira had filed for divorce and was granted sole custody of the couple’s children at the time of her death. The court also ordered that she be given their Golden Eagle House property and alimony payments. According to The Tallahassee Democrat, Samira told friends she was worried Adam would kill he.

Speaking to Dateline tonight, Frasch says “no” when asked if he killed his wife. He continues, “I would never harm my wife, no. I loved her more than anything in this world.”

When NBC’s Keith Morrison .brings up the many women Fracsh was known to have slept with, he says that Samira was “different”. “She was my first true love,” he says.


3. Adam Frasch Was Sentenced to Life in Prison in January

In January, Frasch was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife, Samira.

According to The Tallahassee Democrat, it only took jury members 90 minutes to unanimously agree on his fate.


4. Adam and Samira Had Two Daughters Together

Adam and Samira have two children together. Samira also has two other children.

Frasch was a podiatrist by trade. Speaking to Crime Watch Daily, Leon County Sheriff Detective Anthony Geraldi says of him, “[H]e’s a very flamboyant, extravagant individual… He was a podiatrist by trade and he had a lot of money, which he spent. He loved luxurious cars, trips, he gambled quite frequently, and he also had some type of infatuation with exotic dancers.”

Florida State attorney Office Investigator Jason Newlin tells the outlet, “He had Mercedes, BMWs, Corvettes, Hummers, luxury SUVs, motorcycles. If you can think of it, Adam probably had two or three of them. I believe at one point I noticed he had 81 cars registered to him. And there was multiple that weren’t registered to him that he owned as well.”


5. Frasch Gave Investigators Misleading Information About His Wife Consuming Alcohol

Frasch told police that Samira drank two bottles of champagne on the night of her death. He also said that she asked him to take the children to “give her time to rest.”

Medical exams show that Samira did not have any alcohol in her system.

Adam had a child with another woman while he was engaged to Samira. He explains to Dateline, “When Samira and I had a falling out during our engagement period and had a child with a woman outside of wedlock but it wasn’t a plan there. We dated for a short period of time.”
