Amy McGrath, Andy Barr Election Results

Andy Barr appears to be the victor in the Congressional race for Kentucky’s 6th District. His opponent, Amy McGrath, entered the race on Tuesday having managed to create a tossup in a formerly red district.

As of 8:46 PM ET, with 96 percent of districts reporting, Barr was announced the winner by The New York Times, with a lead of 50.9 percent of votes (from a total of 140,178 votes), with McGrath close behind at 47.9 percent of the vote (from a total of 132,061 votes), per New York Times live coverage.

According to RealClearPolitics, Barr and McGrath were virtually tied in the days leading up to the election, with one poll reflecting a tie and one poll reflecting Barr ahead by one point.
