Expect second-year pro Chris Smith to see more work with the Raiders' first-team defense with Epps sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Epps (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Panthers. The starting safety made 10 tackles, including one for a loss, before leaving the contest. Epps and the Raiders' defense struggled against the Andy Dalton-led Panthers, allowing over 400 yards of total offense and over 30 points. Chris Smith is the next man up at strong safety.
