Seattle signed Bryant on Wednesday, Ari Horton of the Seahawks' official site reports. The details of the deal are unknown at this point, but Bryant fits with the Seahawks' recent approach of seeking out hard-nosed tight ends. 2024 fourth-rounder AJ Barner, 2025 second-rounder Elijah Arroyo and veteran Eric Saubert are all likely to make Seattle's 53-man roster to start the 2026 season, but there's a decent chance the team keeps four tight ends, meaning one of Bryant or Nick Kallerup could potentially make the opening roster too.
Bryant ended the 2025 regular season with two receptions for seven yards on six targets. The tight end participated in 12 contests, missing four due to an injured reserve stint caused by neck and shoulder issues. Bryant was mainly utilized as a blocking tight end for the Texans' offense and special teams throughout the 2025 regular season. In the postseason, the 27-year-old was able to show his receiving potential by logging three receptions for 21 yards on six targets in the AFC divisional round loss to the Patriots. Bryant will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, meaning the Texans will have to negotiate a new contract if they wish to maintain the tight end.
Bryant was not targeted over four snaps in Sunday's 40-20 win over the Cardinals in Week 15. Bryant returned from a four-game absence due to neck and shoulder injuries but served as the No. 3 tight end behind Dalton Schultz (53 snaps) and Cade Stover (41). With the position group at close to full strength, Bryant should settle into a depth role.
