Welcome to our Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings for Week 7 of the 2020 NFL regular season. In this week’s column, we look at Aaron Rodgers’ rough showing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and examine if he can rebound against the Houston Texans. Plus, Ryan Tannehill has been one of fantasy’s very best signal-callers since taking over for Marcus Mariota last season, can he continue this trend in a tough matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers? Let’s take a look.

Quarterback Outlook Week 7
Aaron Rodgers‘(QB8) showing in Week 6 helped facilitate another “L” in the loss column for many fantasy owners. Simply put, a sub-6.00 point outing will not cut it moving forward. The good news, however, is we likely won’t have to worry about that in Week 7.
Rodgers’ opponents, the Houston Texans, have allowed 19.18-plus points to opposing QBs in three of their past four games and an average of 20.25 points on the season. Even with his poor performance against the Bucs this past Sunday, Rodgers still averages 21.87 points per game this season.
Speaking of the Texans defense, Ryan Tannehill (QB11) completely shredded Houston’s secondary to the tune of 364 yards and four touchdowns in Week 6, the latter of which should come as little surprise. Tannehill has now had a three-plus touchdown performance in three of his past four games.
Though his numbers would point towards us doing Tannehill a disservice ranking him as a low-end QB1 this week, a matchup with the NFL’s No. 2 ranked overall defense gives reason for pause. You’d be hard-pressed to bench Tannehill, nor should you. Rather, simply temper expectations against a Steelers defense that has forced eight interceptions (second-most in NFL) and held Baker Mayfield to a mere 7.26 output in Week 6.
