Hield ended Thursday's 125-114 victory over New York in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one block in four minutes. Hield barely touched the floor in the win, continuing his rapid fall from grace. He is basically an afterthought at this point, despite the fact the 76ers are not loaded with reliable talent. It appears as though he will need an offseason move to have a chance of reclaiming his standing as a fantasy asset next season.

Latest 76ers News
Buddy Hield : Fails to score in four minutes
Hield ended Thursday's 125-114 victory over New York in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one block in four minutes. Hield barely touched the floor in the win, continuing his rapid fall from grace. He is basically an afterthought at this point, despite the fact the 76ers are not loaded with reliable talent. It appears as though he will need an offseason move to have a chance of reclaiming his standing as a fantasy asset next season.
Nicolas Batum : Significant role yields little offense
Batum provided four points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Thursday's 125-114 victory over the Knicks in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Batum continues to do very little on offense despite playing meaningful minutes, highlighting the 76ers' lack of depth. Although he did manage three combined steals and blocks, the team would likely love for him to have scored more than four points. Given the 76ers have very few options when it comes to somewhat reliable producers, Batum should continue to play a significant role moving forward.
Tobias Harris : Disappoints again Thursday
Harris totaled eight points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one block across 33 minutes during Thursday's 125-114 win over New York in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Harris continues to come up short for the 76ers, scoring no more than 10 points for the third straight playoff game. He is averaging just 8.3 points per game thus far, well below where he needs to be if they are to make any real noise during the postseason. Look for Harris to try and turn things around in Game 4 on Sunday.
Joel Embiid : Being treated for Bell’s palsy
Embiid is being treated for a mild case of Bell's palsy, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. He finished Thursday's 125-114 win over the Knicks with 50 points (13-19 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 19-21 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one block across 41 minutes. Embiid delivered one of the best playoff performances of his career in Game 3 to keep the Sixers alive in the series, but the post-game news of his mild case of Bell's palsy may be the bigger headline. Embiid revealed the condition started following the Sixers' Play-In victory over the Heat, but the star big man wanted to keep it private to avoid distractions for his team. Bell's palsy is a condition in which there is a facial weakness or paralysis due to injury to the seventh facial nerve. Based on Embiid's recent performances, it doesn't appear that his play will be affected by this issue. He has scored 29 or more points in each of the three games of the first-round series against New York.
Joel Embiid : Good to go Thursday
Embiid (knee) will start Thursday's Game 3 against the Knicks, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports. Embiid carried a questionable tag prior to this update, but he seemed more than fine in the opening pair of games in this series. He made it through his usual warmup and there's no word of any restrictions ahead of tipoff, so he seems like a safe bet to handle his regular workload after logging 35-plus minutes in the first two contests of the series.
De'Anthony Melton : Available to play Thursday
Melton (back) is available for Thursday's game against the Knicks, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Melton was tabbed a game-time decision for this contest, but in the end, he'll be available to see minutes off the bench. He didn't see action in any of the first two games of the series and has played just two games since the beginning of March, so he's not expected to have a heavy workload across the board.
De'Anthony Melton : Considered game-time decision
Melton (back) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's Game 3 against the Knicks, Steve Popper of Newsday reports. Melton practiced Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday's matchup, but the 76ers will wait to see how he fares during pregame warmups before determining his availability. Even with the 76ers down 0-2 in the first-round series, it wouldn't be surprising to see Melton's playing time monitored if he's cleared to suit up Thursday.
De'Anthony Melton : Questionable for Thursday
Melton (back) is questionable for Thursday's Game 3 matchup with New York. Melton has not yet made an appearance this postseason, but he was able to practice Wednesday, so he does appear to be close. However, he'll likely have his minutes closely monitored once he is eventually cleared to return.
