A lot has changed since the start of the GOP primary and caucus schedule. Two candidates have won nominating contests, while five have dropped out. But for all the movement so far, there’s a long way to go before Republicans pick their nominee for president.

To win the nomination, a candidate will need 1,237 delegates. Heading into the South Carolina primary, Donald Trump leads the pack with 17 delegates — 0.1 percent of the total needed to win the nomination.
