The Republican candidates will stop in Wisconsin for a town hall discussion in anticipation of the state’s April 5th primary. The town hall will be live streamed on CNN Go and via Sling TV.
The format for tonight’s Town Hall differs from a traditional debate. Each candidate will get time to answer questions from CNN’s Anderson Cooper as well as those in attendance. Unlike a debate, the candidates will not share the stage together. Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Donald Trump will all get equal time answering questions individually.
Here’s the details for tonight’s Republican Town Hall.
DATE: Tuesday, March 29, 2016
TIME: 8 p.m. Eastern
CHANNEL: CNN
LIVE STREAM: The town hall will be live streamed on CNN Go and via Sling TV.
MODERATORS: Anderson Cooper
LOCATION: Riverside Theater, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
DEBATE PREVIEW: The tone of the Cruz and Trump campaigns has become increasingly personal. Trump took exception to ads that were run in Utah featuring a photo of his wife, Melania, from an old GQ photo shoot. While the ad was done by a Super Pac and Cruz has denied any involvement, it did not stop Trump from threatening to “spill the beans” on his wife, Heidi.
Early polling indicates Trump and Cruz are in a tight race in Wisconsin. Trump has been the favorite heading into many of the primaries, and it will be interesting to see if the close contest will impact his strategy in tonight’s town hall.
Cruz received an endorsement from Gov. Scott Walker. The Cruz campaign hopes it will help provide a boost in next week’s Wisconsin primary.
