UPDATE: After the live double eviction was over, there was a new Head of Household crowned late Thursday night. Click here to find out who holds the power going into week 10.
The original post continues below.
The “Big Brother 23” jury house is about to gain its fourth and fifth members when the first double eviction of the summer plays out live on Thursday, Sept. 9. So, who will be joining Britini D’Angelo, Derek Xiao and Sarah Beth Steagull in the “Big Brother 23” jury house?
The first evictee is between Claire Rehfuss and Xavier Prather and it is looking like Claire is going to be packing her bags this week. The second evicted houseguest is most likely to be Alyssa Lopez — unless Alyssa win the next Head of Household competition. There is also a chance she wins the Power of Veto if she is nominated during the double eviction.
Either way, it should be exciting to watch play out. Follow along with our live eviction episode post below, but be warned of spoilers. Also, in case you haven’t heard — CBS just announced a winter edition of “Big Brother” for winter 2022.
All times Eastern.
8:05 — Alyssa shows how in-the-dark she is by saying that Tiffany is “so confident” that Xavier is going home that she put her best friend on the block. Oh, sweetie. You don’t know ANYTHING that is going on in the house. Also, Claire vows to fight to stay and she honestly did a really good job this week making her case, but there just really wasn’t anything that could be done.
8:10 — Alyssa actually celebrates with Azah and Derek when she realizes the top 7 will be minorities, then she jokes, “I’m half-white, so will I be next?” Hahaha, yes, girl. Yes, you will.
8:15 — Time to vote. Xavier’s goodbye speech is full of nothing. Claire makes it known that Xavier basically has this game in the bag, but it won’t matter. It’s such a shame the women didn’t get together and evict Xavier this week. But alas, Claire is evicted by a vote of 4-1 with only Hannah voting to evict Xavier (planning to blame it on Kyland).
8:25 — It is “BB Comics” week, which is fun. The first comp is the Head of Household comp called “Crash, Boom, Pow.” It relies on answering questions about photos they are shown. There are 7 questions, most points after 7 wins. Everyone gets a point except Derek F on the first question. On question 2, everyone gets a point except Azah. On question 3, Kyland, Xavier, Derek and Hannah get a point, so Hannah, Kyland and Xavier are in the lead. On question 4, Hannah and Derek get a point, so Hannah takes the lead with 4 points and Kyland, Xavier and Derek tied with 3 points.
8:30 — On question 5, Kyland and Azah get a point, so Kyland is now tied with Hannah for the lead. On question 6, Alyssa and Hannah get a point, so going into the final question, Hannah has the lead. On question 7, everyone except Xavier gets a point, so Hannah is the new HOH. When they go inside, Hannah tells Alyssa that she’s going up as a pawn to take a vote away from her real target, Xavier. But Hannah’s target is not Xavier, it’s Alyssa. What is interesting is that she’s giving Alyssa a chance to win the Veto. Wouldn’t that be a crazy turn of events?!
8:45 — Time for the Power of Veto. Kyland was the only person not chosen to play. The comp is a puzzle and Xavier makes QUICK work of it, winning the POV.
8:50 — Xavier obviously takes himself off the block and Hannah then re-noms Kyland. The vote will probably be 3-1 to evict Alyssa, with only Xavier voting to keep her.
8:55 — Time to vote. Azah and Tiffany vote to evict Alyssa, then Xavier votes to evict Kyland because Alyssa is his friend, then Derek F. is the nail in Alyssa’s coffin.
9:00 — There is no Head of Household competition at the end of the episode, so stay tuned to Heavy for updates when they finally do have the next HOH and we know who holds a tremendous amount of power in the final six.
“Big Brother” season 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times on CBS.
