Larry Johnson, the former NFL running back (most famously for the Kansas City Chiefs) Larry Johnson and not Grandmama Larry Johnson, was held in jail for 18 hours for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend.
He was arrested yesterday in Las Vegas for domestic violence after he allegedly brutally beat her and strangled her until she passed out at the Bellagio Hotel.
The ex-girlfriend claims that they had been drinking and partying together and then went to his room to catch up. When she began talking about their daughter Johnson became enraged and began beating her. She also claims that when he strangled her she said, “If you are going to kill me squeeze harder and just do it.”
The woman claims he’s attacked her multiple times before this.
Johnson was released from jail at 11pm last night on a $15,000 bond. He has a court date set for October 11th.
