Baltimore Police Charged: Mugshots You Need to See

Police have released mugshots of the six Baltimore police officers charged in connection with Freddie Gray’s death – and it turns out that three of them are African-American, including one woman.

The most serious second degree murder charge is faced by the officer who was driving the van in which Gray allegedly died, Officer Caesar R. Goodson Jr.

But all six face charges carrying prison sentences of at least 10 years. The counts include manslaughter, assault and false imprisonment.

In an open letter to Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, the city police union’s president said on Friday that “none of the officers involved are responsible for the death of (Freddie) Gray.” “To the contrary, at all times, each of the officers diligently balanced their obligations to protect Mr. Gray and discharge their duties to protect the public,” wrote Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police President Gene Ryan.
