National Review, a major voice in the conservative movement, released its “Against Trump” cover story Thursday, in which 22 leading conservative voices submitted essays against Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. Twitter reaction of the move, aggregated on the hashtag #AgainstTrump, was very active, with a lot of support and a little skepticism.

National Review tweeted the cover of its print edition, and the publication and its supporters shared graphics containing snippets of the essays contained within.

A lot of tweets were supportive, with some even thanking National Review for taking a stand.

Some among the anti-Trump camp however, were skeptical of National Review’s intentions, and the effectiveness of the appeal.
