A Texas couple and their two young children were found dead Tuesday morning in their Katy home in a suspected triple murder-suicide, police say.

The victims have been identified as Jeremy Raju Srinivasan, 37, his wife, Natalie Altier Srinivasan, 35, their 5-year-old daughter, Sienna, and their 2-year-old son, MJ, KPRC-TV reports.

Police responded to the home in the Grayson Lake subdivision after receiving a call from the father of Jeremy Srinivasan, Lucky Srinivasan, according to police radio dispatches.

The four family members died of gunshot wounds. Police said the investigation is still underway, but investigators told KHOU-TV they believe Jeremy Srinivasan shot his family members before killing himself.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Jeremy Srinivasan Texted His Father, Saying ‘Send the Police’ & ‘Goodbye’

Police responded to the family’s home in the 1300 block of Longdraw Drive in the Grayson Lake subdivision of Katy, after receiving a call from Jeremy Srinivasan’s father. The murder suicide shocked the Grayson Lake subdivision where the Srinivasans lived.

“They were a lovely family. It’s a great tragedy. A total shock,” neighbor Amy Ballog told the Houston Chronicle. “Their kids played with all the neighbor kids, they went on family walks. … They came out to Super Bowl parties and crawfish boils.”

Another neighbor, Barbara Loven, told KPRC-TV, “Oh my goodness it’s terrible. I’ve got a granddaughter in bed sobbing. A grandson upstairs just staring at the wall. Kids are just devastated. They don’t understand. The chaplain has been over and that has been very helpful. It’s hard to explain that to a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old when they see these kids every day and play with them.”

Neighbors also told the newspaper they didn’t hear gunshots.

“We’re interviewing neighbors and family members and others to try to piece together exactly what took place here. We’re investigating this right now as a murder-suicide,” Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls told Click2Houston. “Anytime you have children involved like this. … it hits close. It’s hard.”
