Hillary Clinton has a narrow lead in the majority of the early Florida polls. Donald Trump is hoping his running mate choice of Mike Pence can help narrow the gap in Florida and other swing states across the country.
According to RealClear Politics, Clinton leads Trump by an average of 2.7 percentage points in the matchup polls pairing just the two of them nationwide. She leads Trump by an average of 3.6 percentage points in the latest national polls that include Gary Johnson.
Clinton leads Trump in Florida by just an average of .6 percentage points. She leads Trump by seven percentage points in the recent NBC poll.
