LIVE STREAM: Donald Trump Town Hall in Colorado Springs

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a rally in Colorado Springs this afternoon, his first event following Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Trump’s town hall will be held at the University of Colorado beginning at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. It can be viewed live in the embedded YouTube player above via Right Side Broadcasting.

Tickets for the event are still available on the Trump campaign website. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. This will be Trump’s second time journeying to Colorado during the month of July after previously giving a speech at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver.

This will also be the first official Trump event of the general election campaign, as Hillary Clinton officially became the Democratic candidate for president on Thursday evening. Trump is expected to respond to Clinton’s July 28th DNC speech, although we got a hint of what he’ll say via Twitter. Trump called Clinton’s speech very long and boring, adding that she made up facts about him. It’s not clear what facts he was referring to, although he may bring them up during today’s town hall.

Colorado is considered a battleground state in the 2016 election; although it has picked the Democratic candidate during the last two presidential elections, it went for the Republican during the 2004, 2000 and 1996 elections. Hillary Clinton is currently ahead of Trump in Colorado by a significant margin, with a recent Fox News poll showing Clinton beating Trump 37 percent to 28 percent. Others have her ahead by 10 or more points.

FiveThirtyEight, Nate Silver’s election forecast website, predicts that Hillary Clinton has a 60.8 percent chance of winning Colorado, while Trump has a 39.1 percent chance of taking the state.

A few hours after Trump’s town hall in Colorado, the Republican candidate will have another event in the state, holding a rally at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver, Colorado beginning at 7:00 p.m Mountain Time. Check back in later this evening for a live stream of that speech.
