LIVE STREAM: Donald Trump National Guard Speech in Baltimore, Maryland

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will speak in Baltimore, Maryland this afternoon.

Trump will be speaking to National Guard officers at the National Guard Association’s 138th General Conference & Exhibition beginning at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The event can be streamed in the embedded YouTube player via Right Side Broadcasting.

This is Trump’s first event of the week, and it’s also his first appearance in Baltimore since winning the Republican nomination. Of particular interest to many is what, if anything, Trump might say about Hillary Clinton’s recent health issues. At a 9/11 memorial on Sunday, the Democratic nominee had to leave early, and a video later showed her needing help standing up. The Clinton campaign later revealed that the nominee had recently been diagnosed with pneumonia, and they subsequently cancelled a scheduled trip to California.

Trump was uncharacteristically silent on this issue when it emerged, not saying anything about it on Sunday. He commented on the ordeal for the first time during an appearance on Fox News this morning, saying he hopes Clinton gets well soon.

“The coughing fit was a week ago, so I assume that was pneumonia also,” he said. “I mean, I would think it would have been. So something’s going on but I just hope she gets well and gets back on the trail and we’ll be seeing her at the debate.”

If Trump wants to avoid the health issue in this speech, he will almost certainly bring up Clinton’s recent comments that about half of Trump’s supporters are “deplorables.” She later expressed regret for exaggerating the number to “half,” although she did preface her original statement by saying that she was about to be “grossly generalistic.”

Trump recently said that he believes this “deplorables” comment is the biggest mistake of the 2016 election.

“You’re not president of 50 percent of 75 percent,” Trump said. “You’re president of everybody.”
