Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will hold a rally in Laconia, New Hampshire this evening.
Trump’s event will take place at the Laconia Middle School beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. It can be viewed in the embedded YouTube player via Right Side Broadcasting.
This rally will be occurring hours after Trump delivered a major economic speech from New York. This was mainly a reiteration of his previous proposals, such as cutting the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 15 percent. Trump also pledged to grow the GDP by four percent, though he did not get into detail about this, nor did he explain how he would pay for his proposed tax cuts.
Trump also appeared on The Dr. Oz Show this afternoon, during which he made public the results of a recent physical, although this episode was taped on Wednesday.
The Republican candidate is beginning to catch up to Hillary Clinton in the polls, both nationally and statewide, after lagging behind during the month of August. In New Hampshire, a recent poll from NBC/WSJ/Marist had Hillary Clinton ahead by just one point. For comparison, during a poll conducted in August, Clinton was ahead by nine points.
In fact, Trump is catching up in several battleground states including Virginia and Iowa, and he’s also now ahead in some national polls, with one from Monmouth University having him ahead of Clinton by two points, 44 percent to 42 percent. This seems to have seriously re-energized Trump, whose recent rallies have been much more upbeat in the past week or so.
