WATCH: Why the Detroit Free Press Called Michigan for Hillary Clinton

While national media outlets have said Michigan remains too close to call in the presidential race, the state’s largest newspaper, the Detroit Free Press, has called Hillary Clinton as the winner over Donald Trump.

According to the Free Press:

A look at a majority of key precincts across the state by the Free Press’ political analyst Tim Kiska indicated that Clinton would win, beating Republican Donald Trump and maintaining a seventh straight presidential cycle in which the Democrats were expected to hold Michigan.

Sixty-five of 80 key precincts analyzed by the Free Press showed Clinton holding a 4-percentage point lead, less than a point behind President Barack Obama’s margin of victory in those same precincts four years ago.
