Early the morning of November 27, 2016 there was a shooting on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
New Orleans Police tweeted that there were 10 people shot, one of whom has died. NBC News reported that the victims included eight men and two women, all between the ages of 20 and 37.
NBC News reported that police were able to respond quickly due to the fact that there were 30 officers nearby already.
Two arrests have been made on gun charges, but not much else is known as of now. This page will be updated as more information is released.
One of the men who was arrested on gun charges was actually a victim in the shooting, WDSU New Orleans reported. He is being treated for his injuries. The other arrest was unrelated, and was for illegal firearm possession, according to WDSU.
WDSU reported that officers made eight other gun-related arrests in the same area of New Orleans in the same weekend.
