President Donald Trump will hold a campaign-style rally this evening in Louisville, Kentucky.
Trump will speak at the Kentucky Exposition Center beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The event can be streamed live via the embedded YouTube player.
This is the second Donald Trump rally to take place over the past week, as Trump previously spoke in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, March 15th. These recent rallies have felt very much like 2016 campaign events, with Trump railing against the media and with the crowd chanting “lock her up!” in reference to Hillary Clinton. In fact, the rallies are technically campaign events, not White House events.
Today is certainly an interesting day to be holding a rally, as Trump will be speaking following the House Intelligence Committee’s first public hearing on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. On Monday, FBI Director James Comey said that there is no evidence to support President Trump’s claim that President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.
Comey also confirmed the existence of an investigation into the nature of the Trump campaign’s relationship with the Russian government.
On Twitter this morning, President Trump said that the real story is not his campaign’s relationship with Russia, but the leaking of classified information. Trump wrote, “Must find leaker now!” He also said that Democrats are pushing the Russia story because they are embarrassed that they lost the election.
At today’s rally, Trump will also likely talk about the American Health Care Act, the health care bill which has met with considerable conservative opposition in the House and the Senate.
