A video showing an officer from the Philadelphia Police Department attempting to throw his bicycle at a protester surfaced on Twitter on Saturday.

Watch a video of the incident above.

The officer was on the scene of a massive anti-Donald Trump protest that was taking place on the streets in Philadelphia.

The original plan was for backers of Trump to show their support at an event called the Pennsylvania Make America Great Again March. However, that event ended up being canceled because of a large counter protest aimed at confronting those participating in it.

The counter protest’s motive was to “chase” the supporters out of town, according to Philly Voice.

The demonstration is a planned event called #DisruptMAGA, in direct response to the first rally. In the event description, #DisruptMAGA organizers asked the protesters to “protect your identity” and said they didn’t welcome “people who seek to restrict the actions of other demonstrators.”

Let’s show them that Philly knows the truth. That America was founded on Colonialism, Genocide, Slavery and Sexism. Those traditions continue today, though sometimes in varied forms. America was never great. But Philly can be great on March 25th. Let our rage send a message to all those who think the election of Trump means that we will lie down and die, and all those unsure how to best stand against Trump and his minions. #DisruptMAGA welcomes and encourages a diversity of tactics. However, “peace police,” people who collaborate with law enforcement, and people who seek to restrict the actions of other demonstrators are not welcome. Be smart; this is not a civil disobedience where everyone tries to get arrested or injured. Come with a buddy, protect your identity and watch your back.

The pro-Trump march started, and about 250 counter-protesters headed toward it to confront the participants.

The counter protesters, a majority of whom had their faces covered in cloth with their hoods up, carried flags and burned American flags on the streets.

That’s when things started to escalate with the counter protesters and police, as hundreds of them began running through the streets, and “300 kids on bikes” joined the chaos.
