Trump Listed Accomplishments from His First 100 Days
Trump continued listing his accomplishments during his celebratory rally. He talked about getting more cars made in the USA. "We've created a new rule that requires that for every one new regulation, two old regulations must be eliminated... And we have signed massive executive orders clearing up the environmental bureaucracy. ... And we've been very busy on the legislative front. I've signed 29 new bills, a record not surpassed since the Truman administration."
Trump also spoke about working to improve the VA and accountability. "Our message to federal workers is clear. If you fail our veterans you will be held accountable."
Trump spoke about issuing a five-year ban on federal officials becoming lobbyists after leaving federal service. And he issued a lifetime ban on federal officials becoming lobbyists for a federal government. "It is time to drain the swamp," he said.
Trump then spoke about immigration. "As illegal immigration surged, refugees flooded in and lax vetting threatened your families' security. Your pleas have finally ... oh don't worry, we're going to have the wall," he said, interrupting himself in response to the crowd. The bottom line, he said, was that the immigration system needs to put the needs of Americans first. A big part, he later added, was taking the fight to sanctuary cities.
