Former Mexican President Vicente Fox dropped the F-bomb on live television during a CNN interview this morning.
Fox on Friday was speaking to CNN’s Alisyn Camerota about Donald Trump’s proposed southern border wall, specifically Trump’s conversation about the wall with current Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, the transcript of which was recently leaked. Camerota asked Fox, “Do you think the president of Mexico should have been more forceful in saying it’s never going to happen?”
“You can use my words: we’ll never pay for that f—ing wall,” Fox responded.
After Fox was finished speaking, Alisyn Camerota apologized to viewers at home for the language, which was not censored on CNN’s broadcast.
“Perhaps I should have taken that offer for the five second delay,” Camerota said.
Vicente Fox has used this exact phrase in dozens of interviews, including some on live television that have left the news anchors speechless. He did so in February 2016 during an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business.
“I have to say, we’re not going to pay for that f—ing wall,” Fox told Bartiromo. “I am not.”
In May 2016, during an interview on the Kickass Politics podcast, Fox said, “I’m not going to pay for the f—ing wall. And please don’t take out the f—ing full word.”
Fox has also said the same thing on Twitter many times.
Vicente Fox served as the president of Mexico from 2000 through 2006, being elected under the center-right National Action Party, though he is no longer a member of the party. He has been a fierce critic of Donald Trump for some time now, and since Trump was elected president, Fox has trolled him online on a pretty consistent basis. In a series of viral videos released by Super Deluxe, Fox mocks Trump’s obsession with crowd size, calls him the “current president of the Electoral College of the United States,” and encourages him to resign.
