Wilson (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday. Wilson's shift to IR comes as no surprise, as he underwent a cleanup procedure on his knee Thursday and is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season. The 28-year-old could return for the postseason if the 4-8 Bengals miraculously make the playoffs, though that appears to be a longshot. Wilson accumulated 104 total tackles, one pass defended and two forced fumbles in 11 appearances this season.

Logan Wilson Latest News
Officially placed on IR
Wilson (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday. Wilson's shift to IR comes as no surprise, as he underwent a cleanup procedure on his knee Thursday and is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season. The 28-year-old could return for the postseason if the 4-8 Bengals miraculously make the playoffs, though that appears to be a longshot. Wilson accumulated 104 total tackles, one pass defended and two forced fumbles in 11 appearances this season.
Getting surgery, likely out for season
Wilson underwent a cleanup procedure on his knee Thursday and is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Cincinnati hasn't confirmed that Wilson underwent the procedure, but head coach Zac Taylor will likely touch on the matter when he speaks to the media following the Bengals' first official Week 14 practice later Thursday. According to Garafolo, the projected recovery timeline for Wilson would give the linebacker a chance at returning for the playoffs, but the 4-8 Bengals are shaping up as longshots for the postseason. Before sitting out this past Sunday's loss to the Steelers with the knee injury, Wilson had played in each of Cincinnati's first 11 games of the season, recording 104 tackles and two forced fumbles while also recovering two fumbles.
Inactive for Week 13
Wilson (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Despite not practicing during Week 13 prep, Wilson drew a questionable tag. However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Saturday night that the Bengals' leading tackler was unlikely to play versus Pittsburgh, so his inactive status isn't surprising. In Wilson's absence, Akeem Davis-Gaither will start.
Not likely to play Week 13
Wilson, who is questionable for Sunday's matchup against Pittsburgh due to a knee injury, isn't expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Wilson didn't practice at all this week, but he was still deemed questionable heading into Sunday's matchup. If he misses the contest as expected, it will be a big loss for Cincinnati, as Wilson leads the team with 104 tackles while playing 100 percent of the squad's defensive snaps in nine of 11 games. Akeem Davis-Gaither may be asked to step into a major defensive role in Wilson's likely absence.
Deemed questionable for Week 13
Wilson (knee) is questionable to play Sunday versus Pittsburgh, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. A knee issue has prevented Wilson from practicing all week, but there's still a chance he could play Sunday. The veteran linebacker has been a consistent presence in the Bengals' defense this year, tallying at least eight tackles in all 11 of the team's games so far. If Wilson ends up missing Sunday, Joe Bachie could slide into a starting role.
Dealing with knee injury
Wilson (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports. Wilson played every single defensive snap during the Bengals' Week 11 loss to the Chargers, finishing with eight tackles (four solo) and one forced fumble. However, coming out of the Week 12 bye, it appears the 2020 third-round pick is now working through a knee injury, which forced him to be sidelined during Wednesday's practice. Wilson will have two more chances this week to return to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of Sunday's AFC North clash against the Steelers.
Makes eight tackles in defeat
Wilson recorded eight tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Chargers. The linebacker also played on every defensive snap for the ninth time in 11 games this season. Wilson is up to 104 tackles (55 solo) on the year, the fourth straight campaign in which he's made at least 100 stops. This year, he also has a pass breakup, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Leads team with nine stops
Wilson recorded nine tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 41-24 Week 9 win over the Raiders. He added two fumble recoveries. Trey Hendrickson was the defensive star for Cincinnati with 4.0 sacks, but Wilson performed well too by leading the team in tackles. He added a pair of second-half fumble recoveries that each led to the Bengals putting points on the scoreboard. Wilson has been a very steady IDP asset this season, logging at least eight tackles in each of his nine games. He ranks third in the NFL with 88 stops overall.
Makes seven stops Sunday
Wilson recorded seven tackles (one solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 37-17 loss versus the Eagles. Wilson's seven tackles in Week 8 were actually the fewest he's had in any game so far this season. It was a tough day for the Cincinnati defense as a whole, but especially for the run defense, which gave up 161 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries Sunday. Wilson still projects as a solid IDP option for Week 9 versus the Raiders.
