Adrian Beltre made history on Monday night.
The Texas Rangers third baseman hit for the cycle for the third time in his career, accomplishing the feat against the Houston Astros. Beltre became just the fourth player in MLB history to hit the mark three times in his career, joining Bob Meusel, Babe Herman and John Reilly. As if that weren’t enough, Beltre connected on the four hits in the first five innings of the night. Check out the hits right here:
Beltre hit a two-run triple in his first at-bat of the night before following up with a double in the second, a single in the third and a solo home run in the fifth. While Beltre’s accomplishment on his own is impressive but what the Rangers, as a team, have done when it comes to hitting for the cycle is nothing short of astonishing.
