Walker went 1-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Friday's loss to the Twins. Walker only had one knock in this game but it was a big one, as he broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the seventh with a bases-loaded double that scored JJ Wetherholt, Ivan Herrera and Alec Burleson. Walker has at least one RBI in six of his last seven games, a stretch in which he's hitting .364 with a 1.061 OPS. He's also riding a nine-game hitting streak.

Latest Cardinals News
Jordan Walker : Plates three runs Friday
Walker went 1-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Friday's loss to the Twins. Walker only had one knock in this game but it was a big one, as he broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the seventh with a bases-loaded double that scored JJ Wetherholt, Ivan Herrera and Alec Burleson. Walker has at least one RBI in six of his last seven games, a stretch in which he's hitting .364 with a 1.061 OPS. He's also riding a nine-game hitting streak.
Ryne Stanek : Gives up three homers Friday
Stanek (2-1) was charged with the loss and a blown save Friday against the Twins after allowing three runs on three hits (all home runs) across 1.1 innings. He struck out one. Stanek had given up just two home runs over 29 outings and 26 innings this season prior to Friday, but he was taken deep by Kody Clemens, Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee. Clemens was the first batter he faced with two outs and two men on base in the seventh inning, but he launched his 10th homer of the season to tie the game, and Stanek never regained his composure, allowing solo shots to Lewis and Lee in the eighth frame. Despite this subpar outing, Stanek should continue to be a reliable late-inning option for the Cardinals. He owns a 5.60 ERA but has 11 holds already, although he's also gone 1-for-3 in save chances, so any ninth-inning duty isn't probably on the horizon for him.
Kyle Leahy : No-decision Friday
Leahy didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Twins. He allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk across five innings while striking out five. Leahy only tossed 49 of his 77 pitches for strikes and wasn't involved in the decision for a fourth consecutive outing. He's given up at least three earned runs in three of those starts, so it's hard to rely on him in most formats, especially since he's also failed to pitch more than five innings in each of those aforementioned four outings. Leahy owns a 4.30 ERA with a 25:12 K:BB since the beginning of May and is slated to make his next start at home against the Padres.
Ramón Urías : Moved to 60-day IL
The Cardinals transferred Urias (elbows) to the 60-day injured list Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Blaze Jordan. Urias has been out since early May with tennis elbow in his right arm, and he had to be pulled off a rehab assignment last week after developing the same injury to his other elbow. There's no timetable for his return.
Chris Roycroft : Rejoins big-league bullpen
The Cardinals recalled Roycroft from Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Roycroft has been unscored upon in seven of his last eight outings at Memphis while showing an uptick in velocity, having averaged 96.8 mph with his sinker in his last appearance. He'll operate in middle relief for St. Louis.
Hunter Dobbins : Jettisoned to minors
The Cardinals optioned Dobbins to Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Dobbins made a couple long-relief appearances and one start for the Cardinals during his stint in the majors. The club had left open the possibility of sticking with Dobbins as part of a six-man rotation for at least another turn, but ultimately it opted to revert back to a five-man setup. Dobbins holds a 3.63 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB across 17.1 innings in the majors this season.
Nolan Gorman : Optioned following extended slump
The Cardinals optioned Gorman to Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Gorman is slashing a feeble .194/.279/.318 with a 32.3 percent strikeout rate this season, and he's gone 3-for-50 with a 5:27 BB:K over his last 17 contests. The 26-year-old will attempt to get his swing right at Memphis, but Gorman's days as a regular in St. Louis might be over.
James Crooks : Launches first home run
Crooks went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Mets. Crooks put the Cardinals ahead 4-3 in the second inning with his 374-foot blast off Christian Scott, his first long ball this season. Since he was called up May 29, Crooks has been part of a committee behind the plate with Ivan Herrera and Pedro Pages, going 4-for-22 (.182) with a .614 OPS across seven games. Crooks appeared in 15 games with St. Louis in 2025, slashing .133/.152/.244 with one home run.
