Hillary Clinton is making three stops in Florida on Tuesday as she aims to regain the lead in the battleground state.
The candidates are essentially deadlocked in Florida with GOP nominee Donald Trump currently holding a slim 1-point lead according to the RealClearPolitics average. Clinton appeared to have the advantage in Sunshine State polls last week.
Clinton will kick off her visit with a rally in Dade City, and then make a stop in Sanford where she will outline her plans to “create an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top,” according to her campaign.
The rally will be held at Sanford Civic Center beginning at 6:15 p.m. ET, with doors opening at 4:15 p.m. ET. Those wishing to attend the event can RSVP here. A live stream of the event can be viewed in the embedded YouTube player via RBC Network Broadcasting.
Clinton will end her swing through Florida with an early-voting event in Fort Lauderdale around 7 p.m.
Clinton’s lead over her Republican rival appears to be narrowing according to most recent polls and major election forecasts.
On Friday, she led the real estate mogul by 4.6 percentage points in an average of national polls, according to RealClearPolitics. As of Tuesday morning, her lead was just 2.2 points.
Clinton is seeking to refocus the race after FBI Director James Comey released a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday that the FBI was probing new emails related to her use of a private email server.
The emails were discovered in a search of devices used by former New York congressman Anthony Weiner, who is separated from longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
“Go ahead: Look at them,” Clinton said on Monday in Cincinnati. “I know they will reach the same conclusion they reached when they looked at my emails last year.”
