Diggs (foot) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. This move comes as no surprise, as the Diggs sustained a season-ending Lisfranc injury in the Titans' Week 9 win over the Patriots. The first-year Titan recorded 42 total tackles across eight games before his injury. Expect Mike Brown to serve as the Titans' top free safety in Week 10, when the team faces the Chargers.
Diggs sustained a season-ending Lisfranc injury during Sunday's game versus the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Diggs was forced out of Sunday's game in the first half after the injury, which will now require surgery to address. His being out will be a substantial blow to Tennessee's defensive backfield and thrust Mike Brown into a starting role at safety next to Amani Hooker.
Diggs (foot) is expected to miss time with the foot injury he suffered in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Patriots, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports. Diggs went down with a foot injury in the first half of the contest against New England and he now appears to be set to miss at least one contest moving forward. More information on the safety's status will come in the near future, but in the meantime, Mike Brown would stand to see an elevated role in his absence.
Diggs will not return to Sunday's game against the Patriots due to a foot injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Diggs accumulated three tackles (two solo) before exiting the game. In his absence, Mike Brown will presumably be next in line at free safety.
Diggs recorded seven total tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 52-14 loss to the Lions. The first-year Titan tied Amani Hooker as Tennessee's second-leading tackler in Sunday's loss, trailing only Jack Gibbens' eight-stop effort. Diggs has now accumulated 39 total tackles while playing all but three of the Titans' defensive snaps through the team's first seven games. He's expected to continue making plays for Tennessee's defense as the Titans host the Patriots in Week 9.
Diggs finished with eight tackles (seven solo) in the Titans' 30-14 loss to the Packers on Sunday. The starting safety has now played at least 96 percent of the defensive snaps in each of Tennessee's first three games. The veteran has 17 tackles across those first three contests.
Diggs and the Titans agreed on a one-year, $5 million contract Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Diggs was let go by the Seahawks this offseason after five seasons with the team. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games with Seattle in 2023, compiling 95 total tackles (63 solo), five pass deflections and an interception. Diggs will now reunite with Jamal Adams in Tennessee's secondary after Adams also signed with the Titans in July.
The Seahawks are slated to release Diggs, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports. Per Henderson, Seattle is also in line to part ways with Jamal Adams, leaving the team with a void at safety in advance of NFL free agency. Diggs -- a three-time Pro Bowler -- is coming off a 2023 regular season in which he recorded a career-high 95 tackles as well as an interception over the course of 17 games with the Seahawks.
