Gray recorded 164 tackles (97 solo), 1.0 sacks and one recovered fumble across 16 games in 2025. Entering the season, it was unclear whether Gray or James Williams would start at inside linebacker alongside Cody Barton. Gray ultimately provided an emphatic answer, logging less than an 80 percent snap rate in only one of his 17 games. He ultimately finished fourth in the league with 164 tackles and will almost certainly carry over a significant role into the 2026 season.

Gray logged 12 tackles (nine solo), including one stop for a loss, during the Titans' 34-26 loss to the Saints on Sunday. Gray cleared the league's concussion protocol to return Sunday from a one-game absence, and the 2024 fourth-rounder made his impact felt with a game-high 12 tackles. It was the ninth time that Gray recorded double-digit stops and the third time that he played every single defensive snap. He is up to 156 combined tackles through 15 regular-season games, which is tied with rookie Carson Schwesinger for fifth most in the NFL. Gray's final opportunity to add to his tackling total is Week 18 against the Jaguars this Sunday.

Gray (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's contest against the Saints, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Gray put together three straight full practices leading into Week 17, and after clearing concussion protocol, he is ready to go versus the Saints. The 23-year-old has 144 tackles (85 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and four pass breakups in 14 games this season.
