Strikeforce Rounds Out St. Louis Card With Three Bouts

Strikeforce today added three more bouts to its upcoming “Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery” event. The card, featuring a heavyweight title fight between Alistair Overeem and Brett Rogers, takes place May 15 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

The addition of a light heavyweight battle between rising prospect Antwain Britt and Rafael Cavalcante completes the Showtime-televised portion of the event. The televised card also features the debut of Roger Gracie as he takes on veteran Kevin Randleman, “Jacare” Souza facing Joey Villasenor and Andrei Arlovski facing Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

Strikeforce also announced a pair of preliminary card bouts. Surprisingly, Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto, one of Japanese MMA’s biggest stars, will make his debut on the preliminary card against Federico Lopez. Lyle “Fancy Pants” Beerhom also faces Vitor Ribeiro.
