Here’s what we know so far…
1. The Conditions of the Four Victims are now Known
The conditions of the victims was not immediately knownreports The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. One person is reported by KDKA to have been shot in the chest and be in critical condition, another was shot in the buttocks. The other conditions are still not known.
2. The Shooting Occurred near a Foot Locker Store Around 4:30 p.m. EST
Police were called to the scene before 5:00 p.m. The shooting then moved to a Dollar Tree store.
3. Police Have a Lead for one of the Shooters
The Pennsylvania Tribune Review reports the suspect is a black male driving a grey Dodge pickup truck who fled the scene. A man was arrested by police nearby where the shooting occurred, but he was wanted on unrelated charges.
4. The Shooting Involved Two People Exchanging Gunfire
It’s not confirmed if one of the victims was also a shooter. WPXI reports that the two shooters knew each other and hit innocent bystanders.
5. Edgewood is a Suburb of Pittsburgh, About 10 miles East of the City Center
Edgewood is a small community of around three thousand inhabitants, it was the hometown of Thomas Edison’s great rival George Westinghouse.
