Co-Founder Of Minuteman Border Patrol Group Arrested for Alleged Child Molestation

Chris Simcox, co-founder of Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, was arrested Friday in connection with the molestation of three girls under 10 years old. Simcox, a former kindergarten teacher, founded the anti-immigration group in 2005, before its disbandment in 2010.

Speaking to Reuters, Phoenix police Sergeant Tommy Thompson says that Simcox faces two counts each of child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor, and one count of attempted child molestation.

Deborah Crews, Simcox’s first ex-wife, has accused Simcox of trying to molest their daughter, and his second ex-wife, Kim Dunbaralso, claims he is unstable and violent. Simcox may have wanted to protect the border from immigrants, but irony nonwithstanding, way more protection from him is apparently required.
