Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is making a stop in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday.
Clinton will hold a rally at Cowles Commons at 12:30 p.m. The visit coincides with the first day of early voting in Iowa. Those interested in attending can register online.
Campaign officials say Clinton will lay out her vision of “an America that’s stronger together” and urge Iowans to vote early. It marks the former secretary of state’s second visit to Iowa since getting the nomination in late July.
Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine’s wife, Anne Holton, will be campaigning in Wisconsin and Minnesota on Thursday. She will promote voter registration in Michigan and the economic platform.
Republican nominee Donald Trump held a rally Wednesday at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs where the campaign launched Iowa Christian Conservatives for Trump.
According to a Monmouth University poll released on September 15, Trump led Clinton by a 45 percent to 37 margin in Iowa, with Libertarian Gary Johnson at 8 percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein at 2 percent, according to the poll of likely voters.
