Ximines (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's matchup with the Jets. Ximines was held out of practice both Tuesday and Wednesday after sustaining a knee injury during New England's Week 2 loss, so it's no surprise that he won't be suiting up in Week 3. Anfernee Jennings and Josh Uche are currently the only two healthy outside linebackers on the Patriots' active roster heading into Thursday night.
Ximines (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate. Ximines exited Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and was unable to return to the game. Although it's just an estimate, as the Patriots didn't hold a practice, it's still not a good sign for the Old Dominion product with the Patriots on a short week. Unless he's ruled out earlier, more clarity on Ximines status for Thursday against the Jets may not come until the team releases their inactive list about 90 minutes before kickoff.
