Robert Hunt Latest News
Good to go
Hunt (hip) is active Sunday against the Bears. Hunt has been playing through the injury and he'll do so again in Week 5. The Louisiana product should draw the start at right guard in Chicago.
Questionable for Week 5
Hunt (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bears, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Hunt was able to play through his hip issue in the Panthers' Week 4 loss to the Bengals, so he'll likely suit up again in Week 5 unless his injury worsened in the past week. If Hunt can't play in Sunday's contest, expect Jarrett Kingston to serve as Carolina's top right guard.
Cleared to play
Hunt (hip) is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Hunt landed on the injury report Friday as a limited participant due to a hip injury but has shaken off a questionable tag and will suit up Sunday. Hunt has yet to miss a snap this season.
Lands big contract
Hunt is set to sign with the Panthers on Wednesday for five years and $100 million, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. The guard was a second-round pick in the 2020 Draft who went on to start 55 of the 61 games he played in over four years with the Dolphins. Hunt did miss six games with a hamstring injury in 2023.
Suits up Friday
Hunt approached the game listed as questionable, but he'll be in uniform against the Jets. That said, it remains to be seen if the guard will draw the the start Friday, per Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site.
Will be questionable for Friday
Hunt hasn't played since suffering the injury Oct. 29, but he still has a chance to suit up for Friday's game against the Jets. If he's able to play, he should get the start at right guard.
Leaves game Sunday
Alain Poupart of SI.com notes that Hunt grabbed his left knee on a pass completion to Jaylen Waddle. His absence would be another major blow to a Dolphins' offensive line that is already without Terron Armstead (knee) and Isaiah Wynn (quadriceps), both of whom are on IR.
