Luther was waived by the Panthers on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official website reports. Luther re-signed with the Panthers in May after the team had previously waived him earlier in the month. The wideout reeled in three receptions for 49 yards in two preseason games, and he could return to the team's practice squad if he clears waivers.

Luther signed with the Panthers on Tuesday. Luther was waived by the Panthers on May 8, but the team has decided to bring back the 25-year-old. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game after going undrafted out of Gardner-Webb in 2022. In a corresponding move, the Panthers waived/injured Moose Muhammad on Tuesday.

The Panthers waived Luther on Thursday. Luther inked a futures deal with Carolina after the regular season ended but will now be looking for his fifth NFL team since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Gardner-Webb back in 2023. He's yet to appear in a regular-season game.
