Roberts (undisclosed) was not present for the start of Giants' voluntary offseason workouts Tuesday after undergoing surgery for an undisclosed injury this offseason, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports. Roberts signed with the G-Men last month after spending the 2025 season with the Falcons. He appeared in five regular-season games last season but missed the final eight weeks of the season with a knee injury, though it's unclear if the surgery was related to that injury.
Roberts (knee) agreed to terms Monday on a one-year contract with the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Roberts suited up for five regular-season games with Atlanta in 2025, in which span he recorded a career-high 18 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sack. The 2022 sixth-round pick now will provide depth at defensive tackle behind Dexter Lawrence for New York. Roberts appears to have recovered from the knee issue that forced him to sit out the final eight games of the 2025 campaign.
Roberts (knee) was not activated from injured reserve Saturday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports. Roberts has been practicing for the last week and even upgraded to a full session Friday. However, he still won't be able to return for Sunday's season finale and will have missed the final eight games of the 2025 season. Roberts tallied 18 tackles and 1.0 sacks across five games on the campaign.
