The Cardinals signed Palmer to a reserve/future contract Monday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Palmer failed to make the Cardinals' active roster in late August, but he spent his 2024 campaign on the practice squad and will remain in Arizona after inking a reserve/future contract Monday. The 2024 sixth-round pick from UAB has yet to appear in an NFL game, but he's expected to have the opportunity to compete for a depth spot in the Cardinals' wide receiver room throughout the offseason.
Palmer signed with the Cardinals' practice squad Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Palmer was a 2024 sixth-round selection out of UAB by Arizona, but despite that, he was unable to secure a spot on the team's final roster. However, he'll now have the opportunity to stick around in the desert and work to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
Palmer was waived by the Cardinals on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. The wide receiver was selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Cardinals after catching 47 passes for 858 yards and eight scores at UAB last season. Though he has 4.45 speed, Palmer also turned 24 in May.
