Wilson is a candidate for a contract extension as he enters the final year of his rookie deal, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports. Coming off a 1,000-yard breakout last season, Wilson told reporters Wednesday that his contract situation won't dictate his offseason. He's been participating in voluntary practices, catching passes from Gardner Minshew, Carson Beck and Kedon Slovis while Jacoby Brissett remains away from the team due to his own contract situation. Anyone invested in Wilson's success is rooting for Brissett to make as many starts as possible, though the fantasy results presumably will be less impressive now that the Cardinals have a new coaching staff and a new backfield. Wilson's late-season surge occurred in an offense without WR Marvin Harrison or RB Jeremiyah Love, and with Brissett attempting more than 40 passes per game. Wilson handled the volume well, but that doesn't mean he'll see anything similar in a 2026 Arizona offense where Love and TE Trey McBride look like the safest bets to pile up volume.
Wilson had five receptions on eight targets for 99 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Rams. WR Marvin Harrison was officially placed on IR after reinjuring his heel in Week 17, affording Wilson the opportunity to ball out in his teammate's absence like he already had on multiple occasions this season. The 25-year-old Wilson experienced a true breakout campaign after reaching 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his three-year career. A significant portion of Stanford product's 78-1,006-7 line came in games that either QB Jacoby Brissett started or Harrison missed due to injury, so Wilson's 2026 outlook will hinge greatly on how committed the franchise will remain to the underperforming duo of Harrison and Kyler Murray. Wilson will enter next season playing on the fourth year of what now feels like an undervalued rookie contract.
Wilson caught five of 10 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-14 loss to the Bengals. Marvin Harrison (heel) left the game early, leaving Wilson as Jacoby Brissett's clear top option at wide receiver once again. The 2023 third-round pick responded by extending his TD streak to four games, hauling in a 38-yard score in the second quarter. Over that four-game stretch, Wilson's delivered an impressive 23-337-5 line on 40 targets. With the Cardinals having little incentive to put Harrison back on the field in the season finale, Wilson figures to be busy again in Week 18 against the Rams.
