Kyzir White: Everything you need to know

The Texans released White from the practice squad Tuesday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports. White had not been elevated to the active roster since Week 3. The linebacker has been dealing with a persistent hamstring injury that may have factored into the lack of elevation and eventual release. The seven-year veteran was a Cardinal last season, ending the 2024 campaign with one interception and 137 tackles, including 2.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss. If White can clear waivers, he will become a free agent.

White signed with the Titans' practice squad Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Despite a productive 2024 campaign in Arizona that saw White record 137 tackles (60 solo), including 2.5 sacks, as a 17-game starter during the regular season, he spent the entire offseason as a free agent. White will provide experienced organizational depth behind Cody Barton and James Williams at linebacker.

White was brought in for a visit with the Lions on Wednesday, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports. White compiled 137 total tackles (60 solo), including a career-high 2.5 sacks, while also adding three passes defensed, one of which was an interception, and a fumble recovery over 17 games with the Cardinals in 2024. The linebacker saw an increased role as a pass rusher with Arizona last season, and he could be a valuable addition for a Detroit defense that ranked in the bottom third of the NFL in team sacks (37) in 2024.
