In another clip from his interview with Mahmet Oz on The Dr. Oz Show, Donald Trump said that he has the stamina to be president, despite his age. He is 70 and would be the oldest person elected to a first term in the oval office, passing President Ronald Reagan.
Oz noted that Trump has said in the past that having stamina is important for the Commander in Chief, so he asked him why he thinks he has the stamina to be President at age 70.
“I don’t know if this makes sense… I feel as good today as I did when I was 30,” Trump said.
The interview with Oz was filmed on Wednesday but will air on Thursday’s episode of Dr. Oz. During the interview, Trump showed Oz the results from his latest physical, which revealed that he has a body-mass index of 29.5, just below 30. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers a 30 BMI “obese.” Trump told Oz that he wants to lose at least 15 pounds.
The Trump campaign plans on releasing the documents shown to Oz this week.
