Hillary Clinton is holding a “Women Win” early vote rally in Des Moines on Friday. The Democratic nominee will campaign in Cedar Rapids earlier in the afternoon before heading to Theodore Roosevelt High School.
Clinton will lay out what is at stake in November and urge Iowans to vote early, according to her campaign.
Those interested in attending can RSVP on Clinton’s website. Doors open at 2:45 p.m. with the event beginning at 4:45 p.m.
GOP nominee Donald Trump appears to have the advantage in Iowa with a 1.4-point lead, according to the latest Real Clear Politics poll average. President Obama won Iowa in 2008 and 2012, but George W. Bush carried the state in 2004.
While Clinton could reach the White House without winning Iowa, it is one of several battleground states that is key for Trump to capture.
