The Bills waived DiNucci on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. DiNucci was unable to win a job behind Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky in Buffalo. During the preseason, DiNucci completed 14 of 20 passes for 96 yards and one touchdown, adding five carries for 13 yards. He hasn't played in a regular-season NFL game since 2020 with the Cowboys.

With Shane Buechele set to miss extended time due to a neck injury he sustained in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bears, the Bills will bring in DiNucci to serve as the third quarterback behind Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky.
