The Saints signed DiNucci to a reserve/future contract Monday. DiNucci spent most of the 2024 regular season without a team after being cut by the Bills at the end of training camp in late August, but he managed to catch on with the Saints' practice squad Dec. 10. He hasn't seen regular-season action since 2020 with the Cowboys, but he'll have a chance to earn a spot on New Orleans' roster during training camp next summer.
DiNucci signed to the Saints' practice squad Tuesday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. The quarterback was waived by the Bills in August after trying to win the third QB job behind Josh Allen and Mitchell Trubisky. DiNucci spent 2023 on Denver's practice squad but did not appear in a regular-season game. New Orleans starter Derek Carr is week-to-week with a hand fracture, but he also has two healthy backups in Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler.
The Bills waived DiNucci on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. DiNucci was unable to win a job behind Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky in Buffalo. During the preseason, DiNucci completed 14 of 20 passes for 96 yards and one touchdown, adding five carries for 13 yards. He hasn't played in a regular-season NFL game since 2020 with the Cowboys.
The Bills signed DiNucci on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. With Shane Buechele set to miss extended time due to a neck injury he sustained in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bears, the Bills will bring in DiNucci to serve as the third quarterback behind Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky. DiNucci was cut by the Broncos in May after Denver traded for Zach Wilson and drafted Bo Nix 12th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Broncos are slated to release DiNucci, Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post reports. DiNucci, who spent the 2023 season on the Broncos' practice squad, was elevated to the team's game-day roster three times, but didn't log any regular-season snaps. With the 2020 third-rounder no longer in the mix, Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson currently head Denver's QB corps.
