Harris recorded 38 total tackles (22 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding three passes defensed and a forced fumble over nine games during the 2025 regular season. Harris joined the Commanders as a free agent ahead of the 2025 campaign, inking a two-year, $8 million contract. The safety suffered a fractured fibula in Week 3 against the Raiders, ultimately missing eight games as a result. Harris was still able to register at least 38 takedowns for the fifth time in his seven-year career, while his sack of J.J. McCarthy in Week 14 was his first full sack since 2019. The 30-year-old appears to be on track to operate as one of the team's starting safeties again in 2026.

Harris logged 10 tackles (five solo) during the Commanders' 30-23 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday. Harris recorded career highs in tackles and defensive snaps (92) to finish tied with Bobby Wagner for the most stops on the Commanders on Christmas Day. Harris has accumulated 24 tackles (13 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two pass defenses in the five games since Washington's Week 12 bye. With the Commanders eliminated from postseason contention, Week 18 against the Eagles is Harris' last opportunity to pad his stats.

Harris (ankle) was activated from injured reserve and does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. Harris has been sidelined since Week 3 with a fractured fibula. He has been practicing for over two weeks after being designated to return, and it appears he's in line to be active Sunday night. Harris should serve in a starting role at safety.
