The Lions placed Herron (undisclosed) on injured reserve Sunday. Herron spent last season on injured reserve with a knee injury and signed with the Lions last week. He didn't play in Friday's preseason win over the Falcons and will miss the 2025 campaign unless Detroit later cuts Herron with an injury settlement.
