Mathews will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Mathews nabbed a spot start in Atlanta's last game. However, with Jalen Johnson (lower leg) available, Mathews will shift back to the second unit. In 14 appearances, Mathews is averaging 10.0 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists across 21.7 minutes.

Latest Hawks News
Garrison Mathews : Rejoins reserves
Mathews will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Mathews nabbed a spot start in Atlanta's last game. However, with Jalen Johnson (lower leg) available, Mathews will shift back to the second unit. In 14 appearances, Mathews is averaging 10.0 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists across 21.7 minutes.
Jalen Johnson : Suiting up Wednesday
Johnson (lower leg) will play in Wednesday's game against the Warriors. Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Johnson missed Monday's contest with left lateral lower leg inflammation, but he's been given the green light to face Golden State. Johnson has started in all 14 appearances this season, averaging 19.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.4 combined steals-plus-blocks.
Vit Krejci : Good to go Wednesday
Krejci (thigh) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game versus the Warriors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Krejci will return to action Wednesday after missing Atlanta's previous contest due to right adductor strain injury management. Krejci should compete for backup minutes in the team's backcourt against Golden State.
Jalen Johnson : Iffy for Wednesday
Johnson (lower leg) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Johnson is dealing with left lateral lower leg inflammation, and he missed his first game of the season in Monday's win over the Kings. If the 22-year-old forward is unable to play, Garrison Mathews and De'Andre Hunter are candidates for an increased role.
Zaccharie Risacher : Productive in 26 minutes
Risacher amassed 18 points (6-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 26 minutes during Monday's 109-108 victory over Sacramento. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft seems to have settled into a role with minutes in the mid-20s on a nightly basis. He hasn't been consistently producing reliable numbers, however, posting averages of 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.6 blocks and 0.8 three-pointers over his last five outings while shooting 41.1 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from the line.
Bogdan Bogdanovic : Lukewarm production in return
Bogdanovic (hamstring) notched six points (2-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes off the bench in Monday's 109-108 win over the Kings. For the first time since the Hawks' season-opening win over the Nets back on Oct. 23, Bogdanovic was back in action after having missed the team's previous 13 games with a right hamstring injury that he treated with a non-surgical procedure. Though Bogdanovic projects to remain in a sixth-man role even once he's further removed from the injury, he should see his minutes gradually increase in the games to come. He's coming off a 2023-24 campaign in which he averaged a career-high 16.9 points per game and shot 92.1 percent from the free-throw line, so he'll likely warrant a roster spot in most 12-team leagues, even if his production remains somewhat muted over his first few games back from the hamstring injury.
De'Andre Hunter : Leads Atlanta in scoring Monday
Hunter amassed 24 points (9-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block over 25 minutes during Monday's 109-108 victory over Sacramento. Hunter might have played off the bench once again, but he carried the Hawks offensively in this win and led the team in scoring. Hunter has been limited to just four appearances due to an ongoing knee injury, but he's been extremely productive when available and has reached the 20-point mark in three of those contests.
Dyson Daniels : Strong two-way impact Monday
Daniels finished Monday's 109-108 win over Sacramento with 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists and four blocks in 39 minutes. Daniels finished just two rebounds shy of a double-double Monday, but he also made his presence felt with a season-high four blocks. His two-way impact can't go unnoticed in Atlanta, and his elite defensive play has allowed Trae Young to excel as a playmaker, as Daniels has shown the ability to handle opposing point guards on the other end of the court. Daniels has also looked better than expected as a scoring threat. He's averaging 15.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.7 steals per game since the beginning of November.
