Capela will come off the bench for Saturday's Game 1 matchup with the Lakers, Rockets' radio voice Matt Thomas reports. Capela started in Houston's final regular-season game with Alperen Sengun resting, but Sengun is back and starting, which will shift Capela to a reserve role. As a member of the second unit this season, Capela has averaged 3.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

Capela racked up 23 points (9-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-7 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal over 23 minutes during Sunday's 132-101 win over the Grizzlies. With Houston sitting the first unit, Capela started, recorded a double-double and hit an intriguing milestone. After seven failed attempts over his 12 seasons in the league, Capela drained the first three-pointer of his career. Although he's stuck behind Alperen Sengun on the depth chart, Capela has provided ample support in limited action. He'll return to the bench against the Lakers during the first round of the playoffs.

Capela is in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Grizzlies, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Reed Sheppard, Josh Okogie, Tari Eason and Jae'Sean Tate will join Capela in the first unit for Sunday's regular-season finale. Over two starts this season, Capela has averaged 8.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.
