David Roddy: Breaking News

Roddy notched 15 points (6-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Sunday's 128-118 win over the Spurs. Roddy was one of several Denver players who enjoyed an uptick in playing time in the final days of the regular season due to the rest of several regulars. He took advantage of the opportunity by racking up 36 points, 15 rebounds, three steals and two assists in back-to-back wins over the Thunder and Spurs. Even though his performances were impressive, he's not expected to see regular playing time for Denver in the playoffs.

Roddy supplied 21 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one block and two steals in 26 minutes during Friday's 127-107 victory over the Thunder. Roddy came from nowhere, recording a season-high 21 points, after having tallied four total points for the entire season prior to Friday. This was certainly a silly-season special, and a welcome surprise for anyone who took a chance on him for streaming purposes. If Denver decides to go with a similar strategy for Sunday's final game, look for Roddy to once again be front and center.

Roddy ended with two points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist over six minutes during Wednesday's 129-93 win over the Rockets. Roddy logged six minutes during garbage time, scoring his first points as a member of the Nuggets. After signing a two-way contract about a week ago, Roddy appears unlikely to make any real noise, both in fantasy and reality. In fact, with Denver nearing full health, there is a very real chance Roddy's time in Denver could end just as quickly as it began.
